HDPE Reel Freight Policy

The Blue Diamond freight policy for the shipment of HDPE (High Density Polyethylene Innerduct) is to pay freight on all full truckload quantities of innerduct to any given location the US falling within a specific mileage radius to our facility in Middlesboro, KY. A full truckload consists of the combination of reels adding up to full deck space on a flat bed or drop deck truck. To determine the number of reels, please see the  Reel Capacities Chart. If more than one stop is required, customer will be responsible for a minimal drop charge plus the difference in freight between two destinations if ordering a full truckload and all freight charges if LTL. Arrangements must be made with BDI prior to acceptance of order. If you require a delivered price on LTL shipments, please ask for freight included in the price when you call for a quote.

Blue Diamond ships product three ways, LTL (Less Than Truckload) common carrier or van, flat bed truck and drop deck truck. Any reels not exceeding 96" may ship LTL. Reel sizes up to 102" can ship on a flat bed truck. Reel sizes exceeding 102" must ship on a drop deck truck. There are no exceptions.

Blue Diamond does not have a reel return policy but will schedule free pick up of empty reels as a service to our customers. If you need a reel pick up and have at least 12 empties, please call 859-224-0415 and we will schedule pick up if we have a drop off in your area or when we deliver duct.  Product ordered through Blue Diamond is shipped on reels which remain the property of Blue Diamond and will be picked up when empty when at least a full truckload is ready for pick up. You can also request pick up by Emailing Kelly Shelton when you have reels empty. Please note the, quantity and size of the reels and if they are broken down. We will do our best to pick up empties, but only when we have a shipment in your area.

Please note that quantity minimums may apply for certain color combinations and these special orders may be subject to a longer lead time. Please call with questions. Part numbers are not required when ordering if the description is complete.  Please also note that some dimensions require straight lengths.
